As startup that wants to create a business that challenges the status quo by constantly evolving and give back to the community, the Referral Network believes in leveraging its skills and experience to help those who are less fortunate. Others talk, we do.
Neil O’Styke, Executive Director of The Neonatal Trust said “We couldn’t provide our support without the help of organisations like the Referral Network. It’s fantastic to see their strong altruistic focus which is good for Not for Profits and good for New Zealand”
If you’re unfamiliar with the work of The Neonatal Trust (www.neonataltrust.org.nz), you’ll be interested to know that every year approximately 10% of all babies are born prematurely in New Zealand. That’s one premature baby born every ninety minutes. There are also full-term babies whose condition or illness requires admission to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) after they are born. In all, over 5,000 babies have a difficult to start life in New Zealand each year.
Through its volunteer efforts and generous support of its partners, patrons and donations, The Neonatal Trust operates alongside the NICUs based in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago, and the SCBUs based in regional cities (such as New Plymouth, Lower Hutt, etc.) delivers support services to families such as these examples. They also support the NICUs and SCBUs in a number of ways including directly purchasing equipment that assists the care of babies in the units and experiences of the families.
As a partner of The Neonatal Trust, the Referral Network offers a percentage of every candidate referral and the pro-bono work that is performed by candidates. We help make a difference by being different in our approach in helping candidates find the right career fit and helping not for profits become the difference maker in their communities.
“The support from Referral Network and they’re candidates has been fantastic. We find they love using they’re professional skills to support us, and get a great deal of satisfaction from helping in such a tangible way. It helps us advance pieces of work and achieve outcomes faster than planned. It’s a win-win”
As a partner of The Neonatal Trust, we want to play our part in reducing the stress and anxiety of neonatal journeys. If you are a prospective employee or candidate looking for a new career challenge, let us help you make the change that will change your life.
